Born and raised in Massachusetts, I spent a fair amount of my childhood at the beach. As I got a bit older, I devoted even more time to the coast, including Nantucket, Chatham and the Caribbean and have a huge appreciation for the ocean.

I took a variety of art classes in college and, while working in educational publishing, found a way to bring creative writing and art into my work. After having children, I took a break to focus on family. As my kids have gotten older, I worked in web design and have volunteered time for several non-profits.

Revisiting art classes in 2022 brought back my passion for art. The blues and greens of my palette are reminiscent of the ocean. I paint abstract seascapes using palette knives and brushes, as well as some intuitive abstract works and enjoy experimenting with mixed media.
